Birthday Boy !!!!

I love doing 1st birthday sessions!! Lil' "E"'s was sooo much fun!! I'm not too sure who had more fun, baby "E" or his mom . :) She was sooooo excited, and probably one of the most genuine and sweetest ladies that I have met. I couldn't have asked for such a wonderful client.

In some of these pics. you will see Baby "E" carrying around what looks to be a stuffed cake......it was soooo cute, I would love to get one of these for a prop. Mama "A" had everyone at his party sign this keepsake, and she was very stern that she wanted his picture taken with it.......it did not matter how, what or why, it just needed to be in the picture to show that it was his 1st birthday!!!
Too many more birthdays!!! Enjoy!

Baby Girl.."M"

Beautiful, funny, lots of energy...."M' was a wonderful lil' poser. She had all the right moves! She even tilted her head in one of the photos I posted. Without me saying a word....!! How lucky was i!

We took these down by the water.......it was a beautiful sunny day with soo much natural light to work with.

These were a few of my favorites from the session....I had too many, really I did! :)

The D Family Fun...

What a pleasure it was for me to meet this amazing family. K, was such delight and so excited about this family session, and absolutely beautiful. I would love to do a glam session with her, tall and these big beautiful eyes, but not too long after this shoot she told me she was pregnant, sooo maybe some maternity pictures are in the future!!

Her husband D is a new Officer to our Marine Corp "Semper Fi", stationed here on Quantico Marine Base, Va. He too was a lot of fun, great smile, out going personality, and was just going with the flow......gotta love those husbands that are just rollin' with ! :)

They have two sweet spirited children with lots of fun energy, who I think enjoyed being at the beautiful park "Leesylvania" to do this amazing photo session. They were so occupied with the park and running around that I was able to do a little mini-session with D and K, it turned out beautiful!!

I look forward to many more sessions with the D family at least before they are sent off to their next duty station . Maybe we will even see a maternity/newborn session in the near future!

Let's Do T's photo shoot right now!

SO, my friend who sent me the amazing SeaRay migration story below has a son who turned 3yr. several months ago. She had planned and planned on getting his 3yr. old portraits done, but as some of you may know , plans NEVER seem to work! LOL!
Soooo, a group of friends and I were hangin' out as we usually are at the park, enjoying some boating, picnicing, lounging in the water etc.......Then I said you know what..... let's do it now!!!

Although T had been swimming, and not dressed like he probably would have been for a protrait session, I figured, why not! How natural can you get.......T being T!! He is truly such a cutie......and I think my daugher has a 3yr old crush on him!! :)
Poor Jess, she had some difficult decisions to make , I believe she ended up choosing all of them!!! LOL!

Stingray Migration.....What Natural beauty !!!

So I check my mail this normal and one of my close friends sends me this amazing story with these incredible photos!!! I was in awe...literally! I don't know if it was the fact that I too am a photographer and how wonderful it would have been if I could have been here to experience something so amazing as this!!!
What a natural beautiful site to see.
These are Golden Rays migrating off of the coast of Mexico. They turned large areas of beautiful blue waters to a golden color off of the Yucaton Penisula

An amateur photographer by the name of Sandra Critelli was the lucky capture of this amazing site to see! Hope you enjoy looking at this as much as I did!!! Thanks Jess for sending themto me!!!! XOXOX

More Boudoir Pics.......

Boudoir and Pin-up Style Sessions are always a fun and GREAT ego booster shoot!

Can you imagine your husbands/Sig. Others face when they open up an album, or card, or letter from across the sea and looks to see a sexy, tasteful, beautiful picture of your self. Can you imagine being deployed for 1 yr, or more and receiving a boudoir/Pin-up picture of your wife/Girlfriend!
These photo sessions are usually a lot of fun! A lil' nerve recking at first, but once getting to know me you calm down real fast...why, because I am sooo into what I am doing, and just want the best out-takes we can possibly get. Whether inside or out, Boudoir Photos make great gifts......or for our soldiers in Iraq.

Picture Perfect Wedding....

Weddings are a new adventure for me. I have only done a few, and have several up and coming for next year. I am sooo excited!!!!!

The wedding featured in this post was fantastic and I couldn't have asked for a better bride and groom. We contected sooo well and had such a great adventure together, the connection you have for almost a yr. before your wedding is so exciting.
My approach to shooting a wedding is simple.......I want to tell a story! I want it down in your memory albums and on your wall as such! Just to be able to look at all your pictures and feel like your there, and know each moment as it happened!!

My Daughters 3 yr. old Photo Session....

Ok so......I'm sure most of you know what it's like to take your children to go get their pictures done! Well, me being the "Mom" and "Photographer" is never an easy task!

My daughter has a love/hate relationship with the camera, and this day was definitely her OFF day!!! She was soo excited at first...of course, and then flipped out the minute the car stopped and I said.."ok baby girl, let's go take your pictures!!"

I had no smiles for 170 pictures that I took. Then I remembered...wait a minute......we bought McDonald's on the way to our shoot, but I wanted to do the session first before she made a mess of herself. SO then, it hit me.............I said..."guess what mommy got you with your happy meal??? EXTRA PICKLES!!!!" All of a sudden the smiles were coming out left and right, and FINALLY I was able to get some good shots.

Here are a few....

Children Portraits

I have such a passion for taking children portraits. I'm not too sure why? Maybe.... because it's how I started my love for Photography.....for the love, joy , passion of my own children, and it seemed to roll right into the love, joy AND passion that I feel for this beautiful way of expression!
Capturing children being children is such a memorable moment, and that is what I try to accomplish during our photo session. I do love getting those cheesey smiles that I have to con them into doing...LOL, but for the most part a child playing, exploring, watching, gazing, crying.....laughing, even falling are such Captured Treasures!
